Takin the Next Steps
So, Just Wanna Play is really workin hard at getting ready for this August 12th gig and the others which are going to follow. After four hours together on Sunday, five of us did another four hours last night. This time, though, there was bourbon and beer.
I know everyone in the band, and obviously Danny and Mike and I have been playing together for a while. It was great to see everyone really cut loose and just have FUN with it. When D and I started the JWP concept, we really specified the right kind of attitude with a player/musician/singer as a priority. I think we've had enough egos in the bands to fill every arena in North America.
At any rate, rehearsal went great, even if several songs now have ahem....alternate lyrics, which is going to make keepin a straight face on stage pretty hard.
